Any of my work begins with a sketch and it’s with a sketch that I begin to pour my soul into my subject, try to make it the best of its kind!
Working out the sketch to the smallest details, its appearance is created, which will be cast from metal.
Thanks to sketches, the master is able to identify in advance all inconveniences, significant moments, useful and useless properties of the object.
In the process of drawing, I already imagine how to do and where to beat by the hammer to bend the metal into this shape and how it will behave during the quenching after that. The smith also needs to feel what he’s working with, even if it’s a paper and a pencil.
